International ACE Inspections on Silesian Roads: Key Takeaways from the 2025 Spring Operation

On April 8-9, 2025, a major international inspection campaign focused on the transport of dangerous goods (ADR) took place along highways A1 and A4 in the Silesian Voivodeship. This event was held under the umbrella of Euro Contrôle Route EGTC, which is dedicated to enhancing safety and harmonising transport regulations enforcement across Europe.

Highlights from the Gas Cylinder Production Facility Visit

As part of the campaign, inspectors visited a specialized production facility on April 8, where seamless and welded steel gas cylinders, steel pallets, bundles, and containers are manufactured. The visit offered experts an in-depth look at modern production methods used to create pressure vessels, which are essential for the safe transport and storage of technical gases. These cylinders also play a vital role in industries such as food production, medicine, and fire protection systems. Given the risks involved in transporting dangerous goods, these products undergo rigorous inspections in line with ADR regulations.

The Importance of International Cooperation for Road Safety

Artur Czapiewski, Chief Inspector of Road Transport, who attended the inspection on the first day of the operation, emphasized the importance of regular ADR inspections for ensuring road safety and environmental protection. He highlighted that such international collaboration allows for the exchange of valuable knowledge and experience between inspectors working across Europe.

Euro Contrôle Route EGTC plays a pivotal role in unifying control standards across European countries, enhancing fair competition, and ultimately improving road safety for all road users.

This inspection campaign underscores the ongoing commitment to enhancing the safety of dangerous goods transport and fostering stronger cross-border cooperation in ensuring safer roads throughout Europe.
